My passion for the profound effects of massage therapy has driven me to venture into the world of wellness and recovery. I joined Concept as a receptionist in October 2020 while seeking more experience in a therapeutic environment. I am elated to join the multidisciplinary team as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in April 2024. I am devoted to offering a safe and compassionate environment where each person is valued for their unique journey to well-being. Every treatment is personalized to address the specific requirements of the individual. Techniques such as myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, hydrotherapy, joint mobilizations, or proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitated stretching may be applied based on the condition. As a stepping stone to patients’ wellness and recovery, I believe in the importance of providing knowledge and home care to support their well-being outside of their sessions. I aim to be an integral part of our community’s path to a healthier, more balanced life. I enjoy travelling, yoga, running, Pilates, seasonal sports such as snowboarding and dirt biking, and most frequently hiking with my partner and our husky shepherd.

Kim joined the team at Concept Physiotherapy in 2009 and became a clinic co-owner with Dawn in 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria and a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta.

Kim treats a wide range of clients—from children to seniors—and is passionate about helping people return to their daily, work, or recreational activities pain-free. Her treatment approach combines hands-on manual therapy with individualized, evidence-informed exercise programs. She focuses not only on resolving current issues but also on giving clients the tools to prevent future problems.

Kim is certified in acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute, which she integrates into treatment to help manage pain and support healing.

She has pursued extensive postgraduate education, including the year-long “Integrated Systems Model and Thoracic Ring Approach,” which focuses on identifying the primary driver of pain and dysfunction. This approach looks beyond isolated symptoms to discover how different areas of the body interact—and how seemingly unrelated issues may be linked. Kim excels in helping clients understand the root cause of recurring or persistent problems and guiding them toward long-term recovery.

She has also continued her education in the ConnectTherapy™ approach—an advanced, whole-person assessment and treatment model that is transforming how physiotherapists assess and treat movement-related issues.

Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, making the most of the Okanagan lifestyle. Whether it’s hiking, biking, skiing, she loves being outdoors and staying active with her family.

I joined the team at Concept in 2016 after completing my undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics from UBC-Okanagan, and a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University. I am an active individual who is passionate about getting people back to activities they enjoy, preventing and treating injury and improving movement and physical recreation. I enjoy working with a range of clients from children to seniors across all activity levels.

I practice a hands-on approach that involves manual therapy and soft tissue release. As a graduate of ConnectTherapyTM and The Thoracic Ring ApproachTM under Dr. LJ Lee, my approach is largely based around assessing and treating the whole person. By locating the driving sources of pain and dysfunction, I work with clients to reach your specific goals. As a practitioner as well as a patient of this approach I am constantly wow’d by the impact ConnectTherapyTM can have. Evidence-based practice is firmly rooted in my treatments and I am always seeking new knowledge to support my clients. I have taken additional training in trigger point dry needling, soft tissue release and have completed the SHIFT Concussion Management Certification.

From my upbringing in northern BC I’ve developed a great love of the outdoors. In my free time I enjoy combining my passion for fitness and lifelong activity with everything the beautiful Okanagan has to offer. You can often find me out biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, or exploring the back-country.
